Milk Analysis and Testing
Strict guidelines are used to monitor the quality of milk and dairy products. Samples must be taken weekly to ensure that milk meets the regulations from the Food and Drug Administration food safety program and the California Department of Food and Agriculture. (Often co-ops have more stringent requirements.)

Milk samples must be maintained at a temperature of 0.0 degrees centigrade to 4.4 degrees centigrade (32 to 40 degrees F), arrive at the lab for testing within 48 hours then undergo tests and meet requirements in order to avoid penalties.

We offer these tests: Freezepoint, Phosphatase, Somatic Cell Count, Antibiotics, Standard Plate Count, Plate Loop Count, Lab Pasteurize Count, Sediment Analysis, Coliform, Dairy Water Testing, and Special Request Samples.
